Novance offers several functional fluids, like a vegetable based ans biodegradable deicing fluid for airport runaway and taxiway. The performances of this product are validated by the Keweenaw Research Center of the Technological University of Michigan (USA), and are in conformity with standard SAE : AMS 1435, defined in the SAE "Aircraft Maintenance Chemical and Materials AMS Handbook AHB-001".
This innovating product has the following advantages :
- efficient deicing and friction properties,
- biodegradability of 99,6 % in 28 days according to OECD 301B,
- excellent behavior in terms of ecotoxicity,
- preserves carbon brakes of the aircrafts (up to 7 time less corrosive than common deicers).
