Background

NOVANCE has both an agricultural and an industrial tradition: it receives its oil supplies from companies in the group that specialise in oilseed crushing and transforms these oils into environmentally friendly chemical speciality products with low safety risks to users.

Naturally NOVANCE looked for business outlets in paint applications in which linseed oil was once very long ago the basic ingredient. And so half a century ago (in 1959) the COATINGS activity, whose core business is to offer natural-based products to paint, varnish and ink formulation industrialists, was born.
