NOVANCE is a company in the SOFIPROTEOL group, a recognised international player in the bio-based chemistry sector.
SOFIPROTEOL has a long-term investment in the oil and protein crops industry in France and in Europe.

NOVANCE manufactures and commercialises a wide variety of chemical specialities derived from the valorisation of natural vegetable oils.

The origins of NOVANCE date back to the founding of the ROBBE company in 1820.
Today it is a medium sized company (120 employees) situated in VENETTE, near COMPIEGNE, in a logistically strategic zone bordering the Oise, 40 min from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, close to Europe’s major North-South roads and rail routes.

NOVANCE is a member of the Association de La Chimie du Végétal (Vegetal-based Chemistry Association) regrouping the major economic players in agro-resource, in chemistry and client industries that wish to invest themselves on the long term, so that vegetal based chemistry becomes one of the major assets of the bio-economy.

NOVANCE takes full advantage of this dynamic region (Picardie / Champagne- Ardennes) that encourages agro-resource based industrial operations, with the internationally-orientated IAR Cluster (Industry & Agro-Resources) being proof to this, along with the region’s numerous tertiary education and research institutions (UTC, ESCOM, Institut Lassalle, Université d’Amiens, etc.) that play an active role in the bio-based chemistry sector.
